Welcome To New York City

What can I say?! This city holds a special place in my heart. It has energy and personality like no other city , I have ever been to. Everything about this place is world class and wants to be known.
Coming here is like coming home, I get to see my dad’s family and get to spend time with friends that live here year around. The best part about having family & friends here is the fact that I get to do tourist stuff but go to places only locals know about.

My first real memory and impression of the city was many moons ago. Now as an adult,I can’t really tell you my new impression because frankly, I am at a loss for words. This city is a place where you have to experience it yourself. Thats why I am here to help you find your inner gossip girl.
Navigating this city can be super confusing because there is so many things to do and depending on how much time you have then you would want to mark off the essentials off of your list.
First Things First
The Best Things To Do In New York City
I love going to 5th avenue which is where all the shopping is. You could literally find any store you want, though it can be extremely overwhelming but if you pick some of your top favorite stores, your NYC shopping experience will be amazing.

If you aren’t into shopping you can attend one of the amazing shows that Broadway has to offer. You have to go at least to one during your New York City adventure. If you aren’t sure about what show is popular vs. not popular, you can check out the Broadway grosses and take a look at how many seats are sold and the average ticket price. This helped me save a lot of time figuring out which show was worth my time.
If you don’t want to go shopping or to a Broadway play. Take a visit to Ground Zero. Now words can express the emotions that I felt when I came here but the way it represents the fallen and the heroes of that fateful day will always stick in our minds. This memorial shows how New York City & America stayed strong during these hard times.

After shopping, watching a broadway play, walking thru Central Park, or visiting the Bronx Zoo.

You’re gonna be HUNGRY, Here is my go to places to eat in the city that never sleeps.
There are so many places to eat in this city but if you are looking for specific places you can look up stuff on Yelp.com, GrubHub, or you can just try some of my suggestions.

If you are on a mediterranean diet like I am a great place to eat is Taim Falafel Bar in West Village. This place is constantly on the NYC’s best eating list, trust me it is the best place to eat.
As for coffee, if you don’t want a chain coffee house like Starbucks, try my favorite place in Hamilton Heights: The Chipped Cup.

This place has vintage chairs, couches and the decor,Hamilton Heights! Is the place to be. You can find, The Chipped Cup on Broadway between 148th and 149th street. You can’t miss it because this place is fashioned after a Victorian Tea House which gives it lots of charm and draws you in.
If you’re feeling fancy and want to spend a little money you have to try some of NYC’s 5 star restaurants.
